HAITI  RELIEF

They say that the real test of our faith is how we respond to tragedy.  This church has had a tradition of stepping up to the plate and responding.  Many of you have asked how you can help in Haiti.  There are two ways:

q      Give money through the church.  Checks can be made payable to West Milford Presbyterian Church (WMPC).  We will divide the money equally between Presbyterian Disaster Assistance to help with the relief effort that our denomination and its partner entities are involved with.  The other half will go to Project Hope which is an orphanage in Haiti that West Side Church in Ridgewood has a partnership with.

q      Donate items for Hygiene Kits to help supplement the supply of Hygiene Kits that Church World  Services will be distributing.  Below are items needed for the Hygiene Kits.  You will find a box in Fellowship Hall for the Hygiene Kit items.

To assemble a Hygiene Kit you will need:

·        One hand towel measuring approximately 16" x 28" (no fingertip or bath towels)

·        One washcloth

·        One wide-tooth comb

·        One nail clipper (no metal files or emery boards)

·        One bar of soap (bath size in wrapper)—We already have soap bars

·        One toothbrush (in original packaging)

·        Six Band-Aids®

Please do not add toothpaste to the Hygiene Kit. Toothpaste that has an extended expiration date will be added to Hygiene Kit shipments just prior to shipment. Seal all items in a one-gallon plastic bag with a zipper closure.

Hygiene Kit value: $10                  Processing/Shipping Cost: $2 per Kit
